As many of you should know, we have been planning a full reset of the main survival worlds on Vespa. We finished the reset about a month ago now, and I am going to briefly explain what has happened.
So we gave out 2 hints, '1.10 & Custom'. Evidently, this meant the new world was going to be 1.10, and it is. And by custom we meant a new world generator has been used to create completely custom terrain in the town world and visitor world, meaning new biomes to explore and settle down in!
Unfortunately due to the server updating to 1.10, the plugin STB (Sensible ToolBox) has broken and had to be removed. Many sad faces. It was however replaced with a very similar plugin called Slimefun! Slimefun is a much bigger plugin with lots of new things to try, such as custom machines, rainbow blocks, custom tools and armour, etc. You can get started by using the command '/sf guide'.
With the world reset, the staff and a majority of the players on the server also decided to reset things such as balances (money) and some player stats. And as mentioned in a previous post, the old town world will be saved and potentially put up for download.
It was also decided that we should focus all of our efforts on survival as that has always been the most successful of our servers, which does mean that sadly we have once again closed lockdown, skyblock and the hub. This does however mean that we can spend more time on survival, and will allow us to put into place some of our ideas for the future of survival!
In slightly smaller news, Yupie has developed a new plugin for the server that gives players a tag for every achievement they get on survival. The tags act as a semi-custom prefix, and you can select any tag you want from the ones you have. For example, you get the [Starter] tag for getting the first achievement. You also get some tags with each donor rank.
And finally we would like to welcome a new member to the staff team, Noble639. We hope you all welcome him too and don't make his job too difficult.
I believe I have covered everything, if you have any questions you can ask in the comments below, or if you find any of us ingame.
Thank you for reading, and have a nice day.
